With decades of experience in horse training, Kevin’s roots run deep. His father, Dale McDavitt, was an AQHA trainer, breeder, and an AQHA and APHA judge.
Kevin went on to apprentice under other nationally recognized trainers such as Troy Green, Jody Galyean, and Doug Carpenter. Following this, McDavitt Performance Horses was started in 1984. Alongside the accomplishments of his training and coaching of youth and amateurs, Kevin has earned 3 World Championships at the APHA World Show, Reserve Champion at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress, NSBA Top Five Money Earner in the nation, and numerous Top 5 and Top 10 placings at all the major shows.
Kevin’s decades of experience and knowledge in training bring each horse to their full potential without exceeding their mental and physical maturity level. Kevin strongly believes in training a horse in such a way that they achieve excellence throughout their show career.
